Description: The scarf and letter styling are part of a number of fashion prototypes for a research study on electronic materials and threads. Each line of electronic thread was woven into a garment and attached to a circuit for detecting Wi-Fi in localized areas. The electronic threads acted as switches, telling the circuit to turn on or off the Wi-Fi detection. Display lights were woven inside the garment for a visual cue.  This project also included research into garment construction of ‘smart’ fashions that light up, generate heat, speak when touched, and change color and was followed by further predictions of  the future of fashion technologies.
